Who Can Use Earned Wage Access? Registration, Verification, and Receiving Conditions
Earned Wage Access is primarily designed for workers supplied by Nhan Kiet to clients who have implemented the system, not an open financial app for any individual to download and receive funds. To use it, workers need to have a valid profile in the NK system, be correctly assigned to a client, be identified by ID, have a verified VPBank account in their name, and have approved workdays. Clients must also enable the self-withdrawal feature for the corresponding group of workers.
> Note: The configuration values mentioned in the article are default and may be adjusted by Nhan Kiet. The interface, terms, and official notifications displayed at the time of use are the information workers need to check.
Brief Answer
Workers typically need to meet three layers of conditions:
Participation: Have a labor profile in the NK system and belong to a client/group that has implemented Earned Wage Access.
Available Funds: Have completed workdays that have been approved by NK or the client and have remaining value after deducting the amount already received and the reserve hold.
Disbursement: Meet ID requirements, have a verified VPBank account in their name, the client has enabled self-withdrawal, and the transaction is within safety limits.
Having a login account does not guarantee a limit; having a limit does not guarantee a transaction will be disbursed if verification steps or system status are not completed.
1. Who is Earned Wage Access for?
(Overview: see What is Earned Wage Access?.)
Current Main Audience
According to the verified system, the main audience is workers supplied by Nhan Kiet to work at clients. Clients use a dedicated portal to view the list of workers, check, and approve workdays.
A person can work for multiple clients. The system separates workdays, unit prices, and amounts by location but still links correctly to one worker.
Not Everyone Who Downloads the App Can Use It
Earned Wage Access is a model tied to businesses and payroll/timekeeping data. The system must know:
who the worker is;
which client they are working for;
start or end date of employment;
timekeeping code at the client;
which workdays have been completed and approved;
applicable unit price/day;
amount already received in the period;
who is responsible for end-of-period reconciliation.
A person not related to the NK system or not belonging to a participating client will not have the work source and payroll for Earned Wage Access to calculate the earned amount.
Do All NK Clients' Workers Automatically Get to Use It?
Not by default. Clients must be configured and have the appropriate feature enabled. Being a worker managed by NK is not enough to conclude that the workplace has opened Earned Wage Access or enabled self-withdrawal.
2. Three Layers of Conditions to Distinguish

Layer | Question | Main Condition |
|---|---|---|
Participation | Am I part of the program? | Valid NK profile, correct client/group implemented |
Limit | Do I have any funds available? | Approved workdays, valid unit price, remaining funds after received amount and reserve hold |
Transaction | Can I receive money right now? | Valid ID and account, client enabled self-withdrawal, not exceeding ceiling/safety lock |
Why Divide into Three Layers?
If only "not eligible" is displayed, workers do not know whom to ask. Each layer has different owners:
incorrect profile: HR/NK Operations;
missing or incorrect workdays: NK/client supervisor;
incorrect account: worker and verification department;
pending transaction: payment/reconciliation team;
feature not enabled: client implementation contact.
Correctly notifying the cause helps reduce ticket loops and avoids asking workers to resubmit unnecessary data.
3. Condition 1: Have a Valid Worker Profile
Nhan Kiet's ERP is the source of the list of workers, clients, start/end dates, and management relationships. This data is synchronized into the system daily at 03:00.
A profile needs to be correctly linked with:
worker identification;
client currently working for;
employment status;
effective date;
timekeeping code at the client;
manager or supervisor;
related work/payroll period.
What If I Just Started Working Today?
Workers may need to wait for ERP data synchronization and the profile to be linked to the correct client. After that, they still need completed and approved workdays; the system does not allow receiving money from today’s unclosed or future days.
Does Ending a Task Mean Quitting?
Not necessarily. A person can end at client A but continue working at client B. The system must separate the status at each place instead of locking the entire profile if the overall employment relationship is still valid.
4. Condition 2: ID Verification Must Match

In the system, the ID number is a crucial key to:
identify and log in;
link the worker with ERP data;
match the work schedule;
match the payslip;
link verification profiles;
support checking the account holder receiving funds.
The self-withdrawal condition checks ID photo and OCR results matching the profile. If the ID number is incorrect, duplicated, missing a photo, or information does not match, the system may not allow continuation.
Workers Need to Note
enter the correct ID number in use;
clear photo, not glare or missing corners;
do not use someone else's document photo;
do not send ID photos via unverified social media accounts;
if recently changed documents, contact the official channel to update;
do not create multiple profiles by changing phone numbers or devices.
Is ID the Only Data Processed?
No. The system also processes work data, clients, bank accounts, transactions, and employment status. Each data must be used for the correct purpose, with appropriate permissions and protection.
5. Condition 3: Correct Client and Timekeeping Code Assignment
A worker may have a separate timekeeping code at each client. To correctly link the work schedule, the system uses:
company_idor client code from ERP;worker's ID identification;
timekeeping code at the client;
effective date of assignment.
What Happens with Incorrect Timekeeping Code?
worked but no workdays seen;
workdays assigned to someone else;
workdays at client A appear under client B;
incorrect unit price/day applied;
supervisor cannot see the person to approve;
limit is zero or incorrect.
Workers should provide the client name, workday, shift, and timekeeping code when requesting support. Do not just send the name as there may be people with the same name.
6. Condition 4: Have Completed and Approved Workdays
(Basic concept: see What is Approved Workdays?.)
This is a core condition. Earned Wage Access does not create a limit from projected workdays or future days.
Where Do Workdays Come From?
The system currently receives workdays from three main sources:
client's work schedule, mainly via Google Sheet;
related HR/timekeeping data from the NK system;
timekeeping function within the Earned Wage Access app itself.
What Timekeeping Methods Does the App Have?
Depending on the client, the system may use one of six methods:
selfie photo with GPS;
geofence within configured radius;
time-changing QR at the workplace;
Bluetooth Beacon;
correct BSSID WiFi;
clock In/Out.
Workers do not choose arbitrarily; each client is configured with the appropriate method.
Who Approves Workdays?
In the current flow, NK supervisors or clients can approve. Whoever approves validly first completes the approval step.
Clients have a /kh portal to:
view workers;
approve or reject workdays;
edit in/out times and shifts;
reconcile data.
If approved workdays are edited, the system automatically reverts to pending approval, while logging before/after changes. Only when re-approved does that workday continue to be a definite basis for the limit.
7. Update Frequency Affects When Limit is Visible
Source | Verified Frequency |
|---|---|
In-app timekeeping | Real-time recording |
Google Sheet work schedule | Sync every 30 minutes; immediate sync button for supervisors |
HR ERP | Sync daily at 03:00 |
Does Real-time Timekeeping Mean Immediate Funds?
No. "Real-time" refers to when the timekeeping event is recorded. The shift must still be completed and approved. Today's unclosed is blocked by the safety net from the receivable portion.
How Long After Client Edits Sheet Does It Update?
According to the usual schedule, the system reads back every 30 minutes. Supervisors can use the immediate sync function. After editing, the approval status must still be checked.
8. Condition 5: VPBank Account Must Be in the Worker’s Name
The current automatic flow is locked with a VPBank account.
The verification process includes:
worker enters VPBank account number;
system queries account holder's name via VietQR service;
account holder's name must match the worker;
after verification, the account number is locked;
funds are transferred to the verified account when the transaction is eligible.
Why Is the Account Number Locked?
This is a control to prevent changing the receiving account to someone else after the profile has been verified. If changes are needed due to account closure, incorrect information, or legitimate reasons, workers must contact the official support process; do not create another profile.
What If I Don’t Have a VPBank Account?
The system has a guide link to open a VPBank account online, with internal communication describing about 5 minutes. NK needs to recheck the time commitment before publicly publishing as actual time depends on the bank process and user device.
The source code allows superadmin to manually link another bank in special cases, but this is not the standard flow and should not be promoted as a default right for all workers.
Can I Receive via E-wallet or Prepaid Card?
Not in the current verified model. The standard flow transfers directly into the verified VPBank account.
9. Condition 6: Client Has Enabled Self-withdrawal and System Has Opened Automatic Disbursement
Technically, the system already has the sequence:
Approved workdays → calculate available amount → worker self-request → disburse funds → reconcile
However, the automatic feature is controlled by multiple flag layers and is being gradually opened by NK per client. Therefore, two people with similar profile conditions but working for two different clients may not have the same experience at a given time.
Is Manager Approval Needed for Each Withdrawal?
When the client has enabled self-withdrawal and all server conditions are met, workers can request without needing someone to approve each time. Control lies in approved workdays, verified profiles, limits, and safety nets.
Why Implement Per Client?
NK needs to check work data, accounts, cash flow, disbursement, and reconciliation before expanding. Completed code does not mean all clients are enabled simultaneously.
10. How Does the System Calculate the Receivable Amount?
According to verified source code:
Receivable Amount = Approved Workdays x Unit Price/Day - Received in Period - Reserve Hold
The result is rounded down to the nearest 1,000 VND and applies transaction limits.
Reserve Hold
Depending on each client's configuration, the system may hold:
a number of the most recent workdays; and/or
a 10.5% rate when the advance meets the condition/configuration threshold.
The reserve hold is not a fee and is still processed in payroll settlement if the work and related conditions are validly closed.
Current Default Limits
Limit | Default Value |
|---|---|
Minimum per transaction | 50,000 VND |
Maximum per transaction | 3,000,000 VND |
Maximum per person per day | 5,000,000 VND |
Limits are configured by NK management and may be changed. The system also has a tenure-based limit structure, but NK needs to confirm whether this mechanism is enabled before officially announcing it.
11. Why Haven’t I Received Money Despite Having an Account?

(See also: Why is the Earned Wage Access limit zero or not increasing? and Withdrawing Earned Wage Access but money not received.)
Phenomenon | Possible Cause | Where to Check |
|---|---|---|
No client seen | Profile/assignment not synchronized | HR/NK Operations |
Client present but no workdays | Incorrect timekeeping code or source not synchronized | Supervisor/client |
Workdays present but no money | Workdays not approved or belong to today | Supervisor/client |
Temporary amount present but available is zero | Fully received available portion or reserve hold covers | Limit details |
Cannot create request | Below minimum or exceeds ceiling | Transaction policy |
Incorrect ID reported | Photo/OCR or profile mismatch | Official verification channel |
Incorrect account reported | Account holder's name mismatch | Worker/bank |
Eligible but no self-withdrawal button | Client/feature not enabled | Implementation contact |
Transaction pending | Bank has not returned a definite status | Payment/reconciliation |
Do not fix by creating additional accounts, changing ID, or asking someone else to withdraw. The correct way is to identify whether stuck in the participation, limit, or transaction layer, then contact the correct point for quick and safe handling.
12. How to Understand the Registration and Activation Process?

Step 1: Worker Profile Exists in the System
This is different from loan or direct cash advance apps to consumers: Earned Wage Access does not rely solely on user self-declared data.
Step 2: Identification Matching
ID helps link profiles, workdays, and payslips. Incorrect information must be corrected through an authorized contact.
Step 3: Verify Receiving Account
VPBank account must be queryable for name and match the worker.
Step 4: Wait for Operational Conditions
Client must enable the feature; workers must have completed and approved workdays.
Step 5: Choose Amount
Workers only request within the available amount and must tick the commitment that the received amount is an advance based on temporary workdays, reconciled into payroll.
13. Is There Any Interest or Fee for Receiving Money?
(Why it's not a loan: see Is EWA a Loan?.)
According to the current running flow:
no interest rate;
no fee charged to workers;
end-of-period reconciliation matches the successfully disbursed amount.
The code has an old fee model of 1.5%/month but remains only in testing and is not applied in the verified real flow. NK still needs to confirm the official fee policy, application period, and the party bearing operational costs before using the "permanently free" message.
Workers need to read the confirmation screen. If any costs arise in the future, the system must clearly display the amount, the party bearing the fee, and the actual amount received before confirmation.
14. Where Is the Money Transferred From and To?
According to the source code, money is transferred from NK's dedicated disbursement account at VPBank via the disbursement API, into the worker's verified VPBank account.
The source code confirms the technical path but does not determine the nature of the fund source behind the dedicated disbursement account. NK needs to confirm separately whether the fund is NK's capital, client pre-deposits, or another structure before publicly describing it.
Operationally:
the system uses transaction codes to prevent duplicate disbursements;
only records disbursement upon receiving valid feedback;
unclear status is held pending;
pending amounts are periodically reconciled;
VPBank statements are reconciled T+1;
reconciliation closing currently has a superadmin manual control step.
15. Can a Person Working for Multiple Clients Use the Same Account?
The system supports a person working in multiple places. Worker identification is shared, but business data is separated by client:
workdays;
timekeeping code;
unit price/day;
reserve hold configuration;
approver;
reconciliation period.
Workers should not create a new account for each client. If the new workplace is not visible, request assignment updates instead of re-registering from scratch.
16. Account and Device Protection

The system has controls such as:
one person linked to one device;
fake GPS check in timekeeping flow using location;
ID/OCR check;
account holder name query;
bank account lock after verification;
transaction code against duplicate disbursement;
hold pending when bank results are unclear.
Workers Absolutely Should Not
give OTP, password, or login code to others;
lend ID for registration;
lend VPBank account;
install remote control apps as instructed by strangers;
pay to "unlock limit" through personal accounts;
withdraw on behalf of colleagues;
publicly share full ID photo or account number.
If changing phones, losing SIM, or suspecting account access, use the official support channel to re-verify.
17. What Is Personal Data Used For?
Depending on the flow, data may include:
ID and profile photo;
name and employment status;
client/workplace;
work history and approval;
images, location, or device when timekeeping method requires;
account number and account holder name;
request history, disbursement, and reconciliation;
payslip and support information.
Not every client uses all six timekeeping methods, so it should not be assumed that all workers are subject to GPS, WiFi, or Beacon collection. Data should follow actual configuration and purpose.
The Personal Data Protection Law No. 91/2025/QH15 and Decree 356/2025/ND-CP both take effect from January 1, 2026. NK needs to publish appropriate information about purpose, role of parties, sharing scope, retention period, worker rights, and feedback channel; and only transfer necessary data for each stage.
18. Checklist Before Requesting Support
Workers should prepare:
name and identification information as required by the official channel;
client/workplace name;
missing day and shift;
timekeeping code if available;
screenshot of work status or error;
transaction code if money request was made;
time and amount;
description of whether phone/account has been changed.
Do not send OTP, password, or ID document photos in large group chats. The support department should also not request data beyond the need to process the case.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can Anyone Download the App and Receive Earned Wage Access?
No. Users must have a profile in the NK system and belong to a client/group that has been implemented, then meet conditions for identification, approved workdays, account, and transaction safety.
I am a Nhan Kiet worker, but why can't I use it yet?
The client where you work may not have enabled the feature, the profile/assignment may not be synchronized, or you may not have approved workdays. Check the correct layer of conditions instead of re-registering.
Can I receive immediately after starting work?
Not based solely on the start date. The profile needs synchronization, the client must participate, and there must be completed and approved workdays. Today’s unclosed and future days do not create a limit.
Is VPBank mandatory?
The current standard automatic flow uses a VPBank account in the worker's name. Other banks are exceptions handled by superadmin, not a default choice.
Why must the account holder's name match?
To reduce the risk of incorrect transfers or being changed to someone else's account. After verification, the account is locked; changes must go through the support process.
Why is the available amount zero despite having workdays?
Workdays may not be approved, belong to today, are held in reserve, have been used for previous advances, or the remaining amount is below the minimum. Check details for each day and transaction history.
Is manager approval needed for each withdrawal?
When the client has enabled self-withdrawal and all server conditions are met, no manual approval is needed for each request. Control is at the workday approval step.
Does Earned Wage Access charge workers?
The current flow does not charge interest or fees to workers. Users should still check the policy displayed at the time of transaction.
Does a person working for two clients need two accounts?
Do not create two accounts. The system supports one identification working in multiple places and separates workdays, unit prices, reconciliation by client.
What should I do if I change phones?
Since the system controls one person–one device, workers should contact the official channel for verification and update. Do not create a new profile or borrow someone else's account.
Conclusion
Earned Wage Access is a solution linked to employment relationships, clients, timekeeping, and payroll; not an open app for any individual to self-declare income. Workers are eligible when the NK profile is valid, ID matches, assignment is correct to the client, completed workdays are approved, the VPBank account in their name is verified, and the client has enabled the corresponding feature.
Having an account is just the first step. The receivable amount depends on approved workdays, unit price, reserve hold, amount already received, and limit. If unable to use, identify whether stuck in the participation, limit, or transaction layer, then contact the correct point for quick and safe handling.
